2016 Booking Express (prototype) / Lets say I have a business trip to Seoul, and I book a hotel from Booking.com.
How it works now: I receive confirmation email, with all the hotel details (bunch of numbers etc.). Thats when my interaction with Booking.com ends.
Now imagine: when my departure date approaches, I receive a friendly email from Booking with information that contains all the essential info about my hotel + options to arrange airport shuttle service (if hotel has that option). Most of the time, when I arrive at airport, I have to figure out how to get to the hotel. Wouldn't it be nice, if Booking helped me with that, or at least guide me the way to the hotel, and help me easily connect with reception, even if I don't have cellular coverage (airports have wifi access), additionally giving me information on what hotel has to offer, and to be able to upgrade those things on the fly. Moreover this app could suggest popular places that are close to my hotel, or where the subway station is located. Essentially user would use the app as a hand guide throughout his trip.
The nearby places could be integrated using services like TripAdvisor/Yelp etc.
Overall, this app not only would improve relationship with the customer, but if planned well, could bring additional revenue sources (shuttle service integration, UBER pickup, additional hotel service upgrades via app).
